We're on the precipice of a long holiday weekend...and if you're traveling this weekend, you certainly won't be lonely! AAA Travel says it's going to be one of the busiest travel weekends since the year 2000.
An article from Travel + Leisure says that 42 million Americans will travel 50 miles or more this weekend. So if you're hitting the road in the family station wagon, here's when to set out and when to stay:
- Avoid driving on Friday which is supposed to be the busiest day of the long weekend.
- The least crowded days will be Saturday and Sunday...the meat and potatoes of the holiday weekend.
- Best times each day to drive are either super early in the morning or after 6pm.
