Forbes Billionaire List

After spending the astronomical sum of $44 BILLION to buy Twitter, and stock from his various companies struggling, Elon Musk is not longer the richest person in the world. Don't cry for Elon just yet, as according to CNN who has a story about Forbes annual "World's Billionaire List", he still has somewhere in the neighborhood of $180 billion and is holding on to second place. Amazon founder Jeff Bezos, who's company lost some of the steam it had as the pandemic and at-home shopping has decreased, although I still get a lot more on Amazon than I used to.

So, who holds the top spot on the Forbes list? It's a French Businessman named Bernard Arnault. Arnault is the head of a French company called LVMH. If you don't know LVMH, I'm willing to bet you know it's brands...Louis Vuitton, Christian Dior, and Tiffany & Co. So yeah, there's some cash there!

After Elon Musk comes Amazon founder Jeff Bezos, then Larry Ellison of the software company Oracle, Warren Buffett, Bill Gates. A bunch of people from the family that owns Walmart are on the list as usual.

CNN notes, the number of billionaires on the Forbes list fell for the second year in a row, from 2,668 to 2,640. Oh, so sad!
