From Pewaukee, WI to Canton, Ohio with some stops in Texas and Arizona, J.J. Watt is perhaps the last true sports role models. Watt, who's brothers Derek and T.J. are both also professional football players for the Pittsburg Steelers, announced just a few weeks ago that this would be his last season. He spend most of his 12 seasons on the Houston Texans, but the last few on the Arizona Cardinals.
J.J. was featured heavily on this season's HBO documentary HARD KNOCKS, talking about training for four hours per day, even while on vacation. Apparently he took ONE day off per year. He's well known as an extremely generous person, raising or donating millions of dollars for various charities through his Justin J. Watt Foundation.
His coach and teammates brought him to tears the night before his final game a few weeks ago with a tribute video.
