It's been fairly common knowledge in Hollywood and among fans that Matthew Perry, who played one of the most beloved TV characters ever, Chandler Bing, on NBC's Friends for 10 years, has long struggled with substance abuse issues.
But for the first time, we're getting it directly from him. His new book, Friends, Lovers, and the Big Terrible Thing, which comes out next week (November 1). Before it comes out, ABC will release a one-on-one interview that Diane Sawyer with Perry.
