There are a few events in life, you always remember where you were and what you were doing. I'll always remember where I was (in college) when 9/11 happened, for example.
Another one is when Princess Diane died, on this day 25 years ago. The former wife of the future king, and of course, mother of William and Harry. Here's the 1997 report from NBC's Tom Brokaw.
Born as Diane Spencer in 1961, she met and married Prince Charles, had two kids, before a messy, very public divorce. She died while being pursued by paparazzi in 1997.
