Well, it's been a couple weeks now, and the Will Smith jokes don't seem to be letting up. Smith's slap of Chris Rock after he joked about his wife's hair at the Oscars has, according to one survey, had more attention in this country than the Ukraine/Russia conflict.
Late last week, The Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences, the group behind The Oscars, slapped Smith with a 10-year ban from attending any events including next year's ceremony. The winner of Best Actor traditionally returns the following year to present Best Actress. Smith will keep his award, and still be eligible to win one during the attendance band.
All this is still giving SNL and other shows plenty of material.
