The layers and layers of the fallout from Oprah's interview last weekend keeps piling up! The interview, which aired in front of more than 17 million people in the United States alone (the interviewed aired the following night in the United Kingdom), has been the biggest story in a long time and the far reaching effects all over the place.
One of those effects has been the drama created by Piers Morgan, who is a former CNN host who until earlier this week, was the host of Good Morning Brittan. On Monday morning, Piers had a scathing rebut of the comments Meghan made regarding her state of mental health.
The next morning on the show, when being confronted by other hosts on the show, Piers walked out. Later that day, it was confirmed by the network that airs the show that Piers would not be returning to the show. ITV's statement said "Following discussions with ITV, Piers Morgan has decided now is the time to leave Good Morning Britain. ITV has accepted this decision and has nothing further to add."
Meghan has since filed a complaint with ITV, concerned about the comments Piers made would hurt others dealing with mental health issues.
Check out the comments Morgan made, followed by the next morning when he walked off the show.
