Last week we talked about the announcement that Broadway would remain dark until May 2021. Musicals and plays on Broadway in New York City had originally be slated to resume in January after going dark in March when the pandemic hit.
While Broadway is still shuttered, the nominees for this year's Tony Awards, the biggest award for Broadway, where announced last week and "Jagged Little Pill", based upon the Alanis Morrissette's alum of the same name, leads the way with 15!
According to an article from RAMP247.com, the show "which pulls back the curtain on a seemingly perfect suburban family to show their struggles with everything from sexual assault to drug addiction, was a hit with critics and audiences before the Broadway season was cut short by coronavirus."
