Today marks 50 years without the man who, arguably, was the greatest guitarists in history. It was on this day 50 years ago in London that Jimi Hendrix died of an apparent drug overdose. Of course, no rock & roll fan could ever forget his legend-making moment, performing “The Star Spangled Banner” during 1969’s Woodstock Music Festival. Sadly, he would die about a year later. Imagine all of the beautiful music the world would have been gifted had he lived past the young age of 27.
That legendary performance from Woodstock in 1969 is here...just incredible passion and unmatched talent.
