If you know me, you know that my absolute favorite writer is Aaron Sorkin, creator and writer of The West Wing, Newsroom, SportsNight, A Few Good Men (both the play and the film), and more. And my favorite show is The West Wing...that's why I'm freaking out at the news that the West Wing cast is rebooting the show...at least for one night!
Bradley Whitford, who played White House Deputy Chief of Staff Josh Lyman, was on The Today Show this week and announced that much of the cast would be getting back together to perform a "stage" version of one of the show's classic episodes "Hartsfield's Landing" as part of Michelle Obama's non-profit organization When We All Vote to promote the importance of voting in the 2020 presidential election. Sorkin and and West Wing director Tommy Schlamme will film the performance at the Orpheum Theater in LA and feature Bradley Whitford, Rob Lowe, Martin Sheen, Dule Hill, Allison Janney, and Janel Moloney.
And, Entertainment Weekly got the cast together for a ZOOM call and socially-distanced cover-shoot!
