We all wanna go where everybody knows our name, but in Boston, that won’t be happening at Cheers anymore. The bar themed after the iconic NBC TV show in Boston is closing after 20 years in business. The replica bar of the popular sitcom that aired from 1982 to 1993 has fallen victim to the ongoing pandemic. It's final day serving customers will be August 30th. Anyone feeling nostalgic can still go to the original location that inspired the series in the first place which is open on Beacon Street even though that bar actually has a different name and does not look like the bar on the show in the interior.
