So in the next few days, NBA teams and players head to Orlando to get ready for the “Bubble City” season we’ve been talking about. 22 teams will play 8 regular season games and then they’ll launch into the playoffs. Everything is self-contained and pretty carefully regulated. Because the players are, in a way, sequestered at these Disney hotels, the amenities that will be available to them are pretty impressive. We’re talking about boating, fishing, bowling, golf, a private chef, a private manicurist, a private pedicurist, a private hair dresser, yoga, and a lavish players’ lounge. It seems pretty nice, but of course, this is all in the interests of keeping the players safe and the environment controlled. As ABC reports, upon arrival at their hotel, players and staff will be required to self-quarantine in their room for 36 hours and have to coronavirus tests.
