Over the past several weeks, many celebrities have stepped up to support the work toward racial equality and justice sparked by the murder of George Floyd. whether through their various platforms, through activism and participation in peaceful protests, or financial support.
According to Time, Michael Jordan and the Jordan Brands will donate $100 million to groups dedicated to promoting racial equality and social justice. The Chicago Bulls great, now 57, is the owner of the Charlotte Hornets.
In a statement, Jordan and the Jordan Brand announced "Today, we are announcing that Michael Jordan and Jordan Brand will be donating $100 million over the next 10 years to organizations dedicated to ensuring racial equality, social justice and great access to education"
