I think we talked about this a while ago on the show…There is now a grocery store with NO CASHIERS! Amazon opened a 10-thousand square foot store in Seattle (I hope they have Starbucks). Customers start out by scanning a code on their Amazon GO app and then the store uses cameras and sensors to see what they are taking off the shelves. Then the customer simply walks out and their credit card is charged. They DO have employees to answer questions and help, but it’s totally walk-in/walk-out!
My wife is going to love this, she's the person who heads directly to self checkout! No word on how many of these stores they plan on opening!
