So the big news from streaming as we rolled into 2020 is the departure of one of Netflix's biggest draws, fan-favorite FRIENDS. My wife and I spend our New Year's Eve watching her hand-picked 10 favorite episodes (and scarfing pizza while our 8 month slept, I know, we're wild). Friends left Netflix in the middle of the night as the contract with Warner Brothers was not renewed so the studio could move it to it's new streaming service HBO MAX. The only problem for Friends fans is that HBO MAX doesn't launch until May, so that's five months without Friends. (I guess you can dust off those old DVDs).
But, don't worry, there are a ton of new shows and movies coming to Netflix as we start the new year. Here is a list from TIME of what s coming and going in January (some already here):
