It was just a few months ago that the NFL owners decided to change the rules on instant replays during the game, a response to the horrifically missed pass interfence call in last season's NFC Championship game that cost the New Orleans Saints a trip to the Super Bowl.
Now, according to THIS story from NBC Sports, rules committee member (and president of the Green Bay Packers) Mark Murphy said that the owners are considering tweaking the replay rules so that there would be no automatic booth reviews and maybe increase the number of challenges (that red flag the coaches toss onto the field) during a game!
I'm getting confused! Run about a minute or so into this video to see the play that started this entire controversy.
