Packers hold off Vikings 21-16 to improve to 2-0

After jumping out to a 21-0 lead, the Green Bay Packers had to fend off the Minnesota Vikings the rest of the way, holding on for a 21-16 victory and a 2-0 start to the 2019 season.

Aaron Rodgers threw for two touchdowns and Aaron Jones ran for another for the Packers, all in the first half.

Green Bay recovered a turnover in Minnesota territory late in the first half, but couldn't convert on a fourth-and-short in field goal range. That allowed Minnesota to go the other way and score on a long run by Dalvin Cook, who finished with 154 yards rushing.

The Packers and Vikings play again on December 23. The Packers lead the NFC North at 2-0 after two weeks of play.
