Girl Scouts everywhere are facing this problem... they are left with too many boxes of cookies!
They just introduced a French-toast inspired cookie and customers didn't buy enough of each troop's stash. They were left with 15 million boxes of unsold cookies because COVID-19 heavily impacted their sales.
Since the ongoing pandemic there was a spike in numbers during the Spring season and many of the Girl Scout troops opted to forego traditional cookie booths for safer options. As a result, both Girl Scout troops will feel the financial impact of the lack of sales as their travel, camps, activities rely on cookie sales.
