Clear Your Calendar On October 14th, 2023.

If you are residing in North, Central, or South America, you are in luck! Thrillist informs us that on October 14th, 2023, there will be a solar eclipse visible in the areas mentioned above.

If you are unfamiliar about what this means, we're here to help: A solar eclipse occurs when the moon passes between the earth and the sun, but the apparent size of the moon is smaller than that of the sun, resulting in a "ring of fire" effect around the moon.

As tempting as it is to just look up at the beautiful event unfolding, it is extremely important to also protect your vision. There is proper eyewear recommended, as well as other tips to ensure you can fully enjoy the action.

To see the exact timings and locations of the solar eclipse, Thrillist included an image of a map from NASA.
