This is terrible news. It was announced today that breakout star Rege-Jean Page who played Simon Basset, the Duke of Hastings on the Netflix original series "Bridgerton" is not returning for season two. Hearts are literally breaking all over the world with this news. It's not completely shocking news since each new season will focus on a new Bridgerton child. The first season focused on Daphne, played by Pheobe Dynevor, and that's where Rege-Jean Page comes in because he played her love interest. The second season will focus on Daphne's brother and she will return to help her brother find love. Anyone who has watched the Netflix series is definitely bummed by this news. He was such a breakout star that I imagine he landed lots of other opportunities. If you haven't watched "Bridgerton" on Neflix yet you definitely should. You can read more at people.com.
