Don't worry, I'm just as surprised as you are by this revelation. Great movie but I didn't think it would be our number one choice! Coupon Lawn analyzed data from Google Trends and Google Ads to find out which movies people looked for on February 14 for each of the past three years.
Nationwide in 2018-2019 it was "Pretty Woman" and last year it was "The Princess Bride." True to our nature of being different, we're the only state that is drawn to "The 40-Year-Old Virgin" apparently. Other romantic comedies that were popular in other states were "The Proposal," "Fifty First Dates," "Crazy Rich Asians," "He's Just Not That Into You," "Love Actually," "Say Anything," "When Harry Met Sally" and "Sixteen Candles."
