Get those snow drifts off your roof now

As we prepare for more snow to head our way it would be a good idea to remove the build up of snow drifts already on your rooftop. It should be done immediately but if you haven't yet, try to get out there before we get even more snow. According to experts the best way to do this is with a roof rake. You also want to make sure you get as much of it off as possible. Only removing half (the part you can reach easily) could risk creating ice dams. According to an article posted by Fox 6, "the priority should be the edges around the gutters and any roof vents. Pipes that come out of the roof for furnace and things like that-if they get smothered, it can result in carbon monoxide poisoning in the home." If you don't have a roof rake or you're not comfortable there are companies that take care of this. You can read more from Fox6 here.
