I have always wanted to learn how to play golf and I finally found the place that's a perfect fit for me: Fairways of Woodside. I met with them a few times and knew right away it was going to be a great fit! Rob, Ben, Chris and the whole crew there are awesome. One of the first things they told me was that they are a fun group that loves golf but what they really love is making everyone else have fun too! They're reinventing golf at Fairways of Woodside and it's clear they're not your Grandpa or Dad's golf course.
I'm currently taking lessons with Chris who is the pro there. He is fantastic! I've only had a few lessons so far but he's making sure I learn the correct way which is exactly what I wanted. He also puts it into terms I actually understand like teaching me about PGA (posture, grip, alignment), 3 o'clock to 9 o'cloc swing and releasing the frog not the snake! If you haven't heard about these before it means you also need to sign up for lessons with Chris. You'll love it!
When I finally made the decision to start taking lessons we were of course heading into winter so I was worried my lessons would have to be put on hold until Spring. Not at Fairways of Woodside though. First of all they told me they'd play outside there until the snow flies but in reality Fairways of Woodside is the perfect place to play golf all year around. This year they have this huge simulator room. It's 3,000 square feet with four 15 foot wide bays. Each bay has a huge 4K projector and uses TrackMan simulators. If you're not familiar with these it's basically what the pros use but don't feel like you need to be a pro to use them. They're great for beginners, anyone working on their game or just playing around for fun! I can't believe how realistic they are too! You can either hit balls or play one of 100 courses worldwide! Unlike lots of other simulators you actually get to use your own ball and clubs too. We were laughing about how the only thing unrealistic about playing on the TrackMan simulators is you won't have to go searching for your ball at all! Reserve your time to get in one of the simulator bays and while you're waiting head to the bar for food and drinks. It's more of a golf sports bar feel inside with their multiple DirecTV screens!

They have a beautiful course at Fairways of Woodside with amazing electric carts with GPS, chargers for your phone and even bluetooth speakers so you can crank up your favorite radio personality (me of course!) on your free iHeartRadio app!
