Just recently I started noticing the traffic signs on the freeway and how clever they were. One time I was so impressed with one I saw around the series finale of Game Of Thrones I started wondering who in the world is that witty and clever. Apparently I'm not the only one wondering either as an article was done by WUWM Milwaukee's NPR and it turns out all of these messages come from the Wisconsin Department of Transportation, specifically its Traffic Management Center. We have Joe Riemann to thank for this wittiness within the past year. Joe mentioned in the article that "When I started about a year ago, I started saying we could be doing more. We can certainly be getting more creative with them, doing them more often and all that, so now we're up to somewhere around 20 to 22 days." There's actually a team of people from around Wisconsin like law enforcement, traffic engineers, safety engineers, etc. that help come up with the ideas. You don't realize how really clever they are considering they have to get the message across in three lines and 18 characters! You can read more about Riemann and his team and check out some of the fun signs from the WUWM article here.
Thanks to my friend Gregory Jon for capturing this photo so I could share for my Make It Through Monday Moment. I always try but since I'm usually driving when I see them it's a little hard! If you've seen any fun signs please share them on my Hannah Radio Show Facebook page as I'd love to see them. Like my page while you're there too please. TIA!
