I have never in my life kept a new year's resolution the entire year and I've realized as I get older that it's probably because they just weren't realistic enough. For the most part as long as you make the change you're seeking then I'd say you did pretty good. Maybe if start small you'll be able to accomplish that resolution and if you don't keep it 100% don't beat yourself up about it. As long as you tried and gave 100% I'd say you're off to a great start! PureWow put together a list of 50 new year's resolutions that are actually worth making and here are some of my favorites. You can find all 50 here.
- Start your day with a really good stretch
- Learn a really good joke
- Keep $10 in your wallet at all times
- Call your family members/friends/loved ones more often
- Clean out your phone
- Go on a trip this year that's just for you
- Try one new recipe per month
- Volunteer once a month
- Be five times nicer
- Floss every day
- Cut yourself some slack
What ever new year's resolution you try I wish you the best of luck and here's to 2020!
