Text messages between parents and kids are often funny but even more so when it's a panicked dad texting his daughter about losing her hamster! I'm pretty sure this is just the Monday afternoon pick-me-up you need after a long holiday weekend so enjoy your Make It Through Monday moment powered by Winkie's Hallmark & Gifts. While Steph Veerman was away at college she entrusted her dad, Dan Veerman, to watch her hamster and sure enough her dad got attached. So much so that when her hamster Chester went missing her Dad went into a panic texting her daughter saying "Please call me as soon as you get this. It's an emergency." Steph immediately calls her father thinking something terrible has happened to a family member since her dad was crying but turns out he had lost her hamster and was really worked up about it. He even said he would skip work to stay home and look for Chester saying "this is the absolute worst ever. I'm never going to forgive myself if he doesn't come back."
The good news is Chester did come home and all was well in the end. The even better news is we got this super cute but hilarious story out of the deal. Steph ended up sharing the text messages between her and her father on social media and they are hilarious.
