Letters from some "Jenny B" to unsuspecting women are raising concerns

The moral of this story is to watch out for Jenny B! According to an article at MSN.com, the Better Business Bureau is alerting consumers to watch out for letters filled with gift cards and coupons congratulating them on their pregnancy and signed by "Jenny B". Thousands of women across America and Canada reported receiving these "handwritten" cards. Many people who received them weren't even pregnant. They posted to social media and realized they weren't the only ones receiving these weird cards. Turns out they were coming from a Utah-based company called Mothers Lounge LLC and it's a marketing tactic. Many consumers complained that the $245 worth of gift cards seem to only increase the shipping cost on orders they've attempted to complete. There's also the chance you go to use them and someone ends up stealing your identity or money!

The BBB reached out to Mothers Lounge LLC but didn't get a response. A representative of the Mothers Lounge marketing team made a statement to Yahoo Lifestyle "We are a proud Utah company that has been in operation since 2005. Millions of families in the US have ordered from our brands throughout the years. Mothers Lounge has mailed a heartfelt note which includes gift cards with proof of activation and coupons to new mothers. The qualified recipients for this mailer have, at one point, subscribed to an opt-in list for maternity deals and coupons through a third party marking company."
