If I had all the money in the world, I'd donate most of it but save enough to travel whenever, wherever. It's one of my favorite things to do. Traveling just opens up your eyes to so much you had no idea about but also makes you so grateful for your home, where you live and what you have.
I recently got back from an eight day vacation in Mexico so today's Make It Through Monday Moment, powered by Winkie's in Whitefish Bay, is obviously a quote about travel.
There was a group of 11 of us girls who went to Mexico to celebrate Día de los Muertos and man did we have an amazing time! We got all dressed up, painted our faces and one of my friends even took 2nd place in the costume contest! It was really cool to see everyone there appreciate our participation. They were literally asking to take pictures with us!
We also all hopped on the Jose Cuervo Express and headed to Tequila, Mexico for a Tequila tasting and tour. It was really cool to learn how it's made and visiting the actual fields was beautiful! I of course ate tons of food because it is all so delicious! The trip really flew by though, especially when you're having such a great time. The quote above really describes the value of travel and I'm so grateful for trips and memories like these with such great friends.
