Hannah's Weekend in Five Pictures 7/20-7/22

This past weekend I literally went from one thing to the next and although I'm a little tired today and so not caught up on sleep, I wouldn't have changed that at all because I had so much fun!  I have one of the best jobs in the world.  I get to talk for a living, play music I love and hang out with people who listen to me on the radio.  Doesn't get much better than that right?!  One of the best parts is when I get to leave the studio and broadcast my show LIVE on location.  Friday night I was live from Festa Italiana on the Summerfest grounds.  I ate some great Italian food and got to hear fantastic music from Moreno Fruzzetti and The Rat Pack Reprise.  The best part about doing a show live on-site somewhere though is actually getting to chat with people who listen to me on the radio.  You have no idea how much it means to me when you take the time to stop by and say hi so thank you very much!  Special thank yous to Florence, Dave, Grace, Mary Kay, Donna, Michelle, my aunt Nancy, uncle Rob and cousin Elizabeth.

Saturday morning I did the Brewers Community Foundation 5K Famous Racing Sausages Run/Walk in support of Fisher House Wisconsin and it was a blast!  It felt great to run in general but was really cool because we got to run through Miller Park!  Pictured below is me, Shan, Sara, Bernie Brewer and the Racing Sausages of course!

After the run I headed home quickly to get ready for my friend Allison's baby shower!  I've known Allison since kindergarten and although we don't get to see each other very often, it was wonderful to be part of such a special day.  They played a game where each song title had the word baby in it and you had to guess the title and artist of the song.  Since I work in radio everyone thought I would get 100%!  That unfortunately wasn't the case and I didn't even get the second highest score!  It was pretty bad that I didn't do better but a really fun game!

Next up was heading down to Twin Lakes, WI to see Toby Keith at Country Thunder!  He's one of my favorite artists of all time and I was so glad I still had energy to get to the show.  My mom is a big fan of his too so we both went and stayed until the absolute end!  We were literally dancing and singing the whole night since we knew every single song.  The encore was by far the coolest part though.  Toby Keith is very patriotic and a big supporter of our armed forces so for his encore he usually sings "American Soldier" and "Courtesy of the Red, White and Blue".  Well before he started singing he brought up onstage tons of veterans and members of the armed forces from the audience and they got to stay up there during both songs!  It was such an incredible thing to see and basically brought me to tears.  Both my mom and I were saying that it was worth the wait to get out of the parking lot and on the road to be able to experience that.

I headed back to Country Thunder on Sunday and spent most of the day there.  Luke Bryan was the headliner for the night and my day was pretty much made by the picture below.  Yes I got to meet him, yes he actually chatted with us for a bit and yes he really is a super nice guy!  I've actually gotten to meet him a few times and each time he was been so nice.  So if you were wondering while listening to his music or watching him on American Idol, yes he really is a cool guy!

As I mentioned I was booked back to back this weekend but it was totally worth it!  I've got some big plans booked for this coming weekend I can't wait to tell you about next Monday!  As always thanks for checking out my pictures!
