The World's First Street Legal "Flying Car" is now available in Europe

The concept of a "flying car" was always considered futuristic a la "The Jetsons" or something... but by 2020, a lot of us figured they'd be here by now, right? Well, we do.

While flying cars aren't exactly a frequent sight, they DO exist. One company has created the PAL-V Liberty, a 3-wheel gyrocopter. It has a flying engine with 197hp with a top air speed of 112mph; it go up to about 11,000 feet in the air (yikes!) The Liberty's drive mode engine offers 99 hp and a top speed of 100mph.

Interested? See the demo here or watch it below. You can buy one now for a cool $399,000 for their standard Liberty Sport model. They also have a "Pioneer Edition," which offers additional options for $599,000. Operators need a gyroplane pilot's license to fly it, and purchases come with introductory training lessons (I would hope so!) and power heating.

Who's up for a nice Sunday fly/drive??
