AC/DC keeps rolling in 2020. Their new album PWR/UP ("Power Up") is out November 13th and their lead single from it, "Shot In The Dark," is featured in a new commercial for something else that keeps rolling in 2020: the Dodge Challenger.
In this entertaining new spot, titled "Family Motto," they harken back to Talladega Nights and go Ricky Bobby style. It begins in Talladega County circa 1981 with Reese Bobby in a new 2021 Dodge Durango SRT Hellcat on a walkie talkie imploring his young son Ricky Bobby, who appears to be driving a 2021 Dodge Charger SRT Hellcat Redeye. Ricky Bobby's best friend Cal Naughton Jr. joins in shortly, and plenty of driving stunts and funny quips ensue, including the family motto: "if you ain't first, you're last."
There's even a disclaimer at the end, worth watching. The cars themselves are pretty awesome, too: a 2021 Dodge Charger SRT Hellcat Redeye, a 2020 Dodge Challenger SRT Super Stock, and the 2021 Dodge Durango SRT Hellcat. Kinda makes me want to go racing on a track somewhere.
