The weather - especially last week - gave us a clear indication that fall is on the way. We're even starting to see the leaves changing! It's that time of year when cooler weather arrives, pumpkin spice everything flavors food and drinks, and fun activities abound. In our newest episode of The Cabin, the official podcast of Discover Wisconsin, we dive into some good Fall Day Trips around Wisconsin.
They include top picks, like Flyght’s Fieldstones in Coloma, which is off I-39/U.S. 51 and Highway 21 in central Wisconsin; Skelly’s Farm Market in Janesville; Maiden Rock Winery & Cidery, right by the Mississippi River off the Great River Road in Stockholm; the famous Apple Holler in Racine County, right along I-41/94 in Sturtevant; Mommsen’s Produce Patch up in Rice Lake, where on the Discover Wisconsin show I got to go "pumpkin chuckin'" and it was a BLAST; Seaquist Orchards right off Highway 42 in Sister Bay, one of Door County's funnest fall frolics; Meuer Farm, just east of Lake Winnebago northeast of Fond du Lac, and then into the Manitowoc Food & Beverage Trail via U.S. 151; the well-known and well-loved Elegant Farmer in Mukwonago, where you can also hop the East Troy Railroad for a fun ride; and finally, to Trempealeau for a double of Ecker’s Apple Farm - complete with apple picking, live music, and a craft beer garden, and the nearby Elmaro Winery, with a beautiful view of the hills of the Driftless.
