Tom Petty (and his Heartbreakers) put out a ton of great albums over the years, but we haven't heard everything yet. With a new, long-awaited reissue of Petty's Wildflowers, some of that is about to change.
The reissue of Wildflowers comes out October 16th, and will be released with four variations:
- Wildflowers & All The Rest will be a 2-CD or 3-LP set that features 25 tracks, with five unreleased songs.
- Wildflowers & All The Rest - Deluxe Edition will feature a 4-CD or 7-LP set that features 54 tracks, with eight unreleased songs and 24 unreleased versions, including live and home recordings.
- Wildflowers & All The Rest - Super Deluxe Edition will offer a 5-CD or 9-LP set (I'm loving the LPs being offered) with everything from the Deluxe Edition, plus a disc of alternate takes called Finding Wildflowers. It will also include a hardbound book along with a replica of Dogs with Wings tour program.
- Wildflowers & All The Rest - Ultra Deluxe Limited Edition: This is the biggie: a 9-LP set with the same contents as the Super Deluxe Edition, plus an exclusive 7-inch single of “You Don’t Know How It Feels."
