Sprecher goes for the "World's Largest Root Beer Float Drive-Thru" record!

August 6th is National Root Beer Float Day (as you know, on my show I talk about what "National (whatever it is) Day" all the time. And this one is delicious!

Sprecher Brewing Company, which brews craft beer, crafts hard seltzer, and has long been known for its incredible sodas and root beer, is celebrating in a big way. The company, which recently took on new ownership, is celebrating this day with a big splash - of ice cream in their root beer.. and offering it to people drive-thru style!

The Guinness World Record for the World's Largest Root Beer Float Drive-Thru is their goal Thursday, and you can participate! From Noon until 8pm, Sprecher, in partnership with Cedar Crest Ice Cream, will be handing out FREE root beer floats to people who drive up in their lot at 701 W. Glendale Avenue in Glendale. The floats will be brought to your vehicle, and they ask that you consume them in your car, or elsewhere off the premises (they're expecting quite a few people to show up.) Sanitizing, social distancing, and face mask rules will be followed by everyone working the event.

While the floats are free, they do suggest you make an online donation to benefit Feeding America Eastern Wisconsin; you can also donate by texting FLOAT to 41444. Sprecher Brewery is located at 701 W. Glendale Avenue in Glendale, wedged between I-43 and Highway 57/Green Bay Road.
