UPDATE: Beach Boys, Boyz II Men among rescheduled State Fair acts for 2021

2020 is the year of events being cancelled. The 2020 Wisconsin State Fair is no exception, even though they will be making cream puffs available for curbside purchase during the original Fair dates this August. But, as sports fans always say, "Wait'll next year!" and we look ahead to the 2021 Wisconsin State Fair, which will run Thursday, August 5th through Sunday, August 15th.

Earlier this morning, the announcement was made that four of the Main Stage acts originally slated for 2020 have been rebooked for 2021. They include:

Thursday, August 5th: Christian rock band Skillet, with openers Colton Dixon and Ledger, which is actually a side project of Skillet's drummer, Jen Ledger

Friday, August 6th: Country singer Chris Young

Friday, August 13th: Boyz II Men - the best-selling R&B group of all time - with Ginuwine as the opener

Saturday, August 14th: The Beach Boys return to bring California surf rock to the State Fair

Per the Fair's press release, all previously purchased tickets for these shows are valid for the new 2021 show dates. Refunds for tickets are available if you prefer, but you have to initiate the request by July 27th; otherwise, the tickets will automatically roll over to the 2021 State Fair Main Stage show date.

Tickets for all four shows are ON SALE NOW at WIStateFair.com and the State Fair Ticket Office. Print-at-home and mail-order options are available online; service fees will apply. The Ticket Office is located at 7722 W. Greenfield Ave./Highway 59 in West Allis. Hours are Monday through Friday 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. All Main Stage tickets INCLUDE FAIR ADMISSION when purchased prior to entering the Fair Park.

See you there in 2021! I'll have a corn dog and a beer in my hands, most likely. Or whatever else on a stick.
