Check us out on Discover Wisconsin's new podcast The Cabin on iHeartRadio!

Another fun podcast (that I'm involved in) is now up on iHeartRadio and your free iHeartRadio app!

Along with the EricCast and my State Trunk Tour Podcast, my involvement as a co-host on the TV show Discover Wisconsin has now brought forth another podcast. It's called The Cabin, and it features me and Mariah Haberman, along with producer "Audio Dave" Janus, producer/director Ellen Fallon, and many guests. We cover a variety of topics with Campfire Conversations, guest interviews, featured counties, sound effects, and quite a few tangents that turn out to be fun banter. Meanwhile, you'll learn a ton about this wonderful state (even in the midst of winter) that we call Wisconsin.

Three episodes are out so far; new episodes will arrive weekly. Here are links to each:

On episode 1 of The Cabin, we kick things off with some Campfire Conversation discussing their favorite hidden winter getaways throughout the state of Wisconsin, discuss the episode checking out Castle Rock and Lake Petenwell along the Wisconsin River with producer Taylor Carruthers, plus highlights of upcoming events. Some fun, goofy stuff too:

Episode 2 of The Cabin: Mariah and I explore cabins and cottages for your next getaway, including the Seth Peterson Cottage in Reedsburg, the Coulee Junction Caboose in De Soto, the Rittenhouse Inn in Bayfield, Garmisch USA + yurts in Cable, and the Chanticleer Inn in Door County. We also explore the first full Discover Wisconsin episode that focuses on walking tours, welcoming episode producer Brian Mohsenian. These include tours in Ashland, Plymouth, Burlington, and Waukesha. Plus more events and goofy fun:

Episode 3 of The Cabin: We feature Rock County and check out Beloit, which has another Discover Wisconsin episode upcoming that explores its amazingly re-emerging downtown, activity along the Rock River, and more. On our Campfire Conversation, Mariah and I discuss hiking paths across the state, including at Devil's Lake, the Ice Age Trail, North Country Scenic Trail, Gibraltar Rock State Natural Area, and Grandad's Bluff:

There will be more new episodes each week, including an upcoming Episode 4 where you'll see just what I was up to in a high school parking lot in Texas the night Mariah was born in Wisconsin. Yeah, we get into the weeds on stuff and we hope you'll find it interesting! Follow The Cabin Podcast on iHeartRadio to get all the new episodes as they get released!
