With the MSO (Milwaukee Symphony Orchestra) preparing to perform arrangements of David Bowie songs on March 6th, this video just resonated with me. It's David Byrne, lead singer of Talking Heads with his unique voice and delivery, performing a cover of David Bowie's "Heroes" with Choir! Choir! Choir!, a Canadian musical organization with a unique twist. Instead of your typical choir and its usual model, the choir is set up so basically anyone who wants to attend an event is welcome to perform. They've done notable tributes to Leonard Cohen and Chris Cornell, and often number in upwards of 200 people - which is about how many you'd need to cover up the bad effects of my voice if I joined in.
David Byrne seems to be quite a fan of Choir! Choir! Choir!, having posted on Facebook that he “sat mesmerised watching online videos” of the choir. And now here he is, performing "Heroes" with them. Watch and enjoy!
