Skydiver in California loses, get reunited with prosthetic leg

Ever gone skydiving? Well, 39-year-old Dion Calloway did in California last Sunday and he has an unusual story about it. Calloway, who wears a prosthetic leg, was in midair during a jump when said leg flew off 10,000 feet above the ground. Dion landed safely; his leg? Well, he had no idea. He told police that after he and his friends landed, they looked around the area but couldn't find the leg, figuring the $15,000 prosthetic would be lost forever.

The next day, a lumberyard worker noticed something quite strange: a prosthetic leg wearing a blue Nike shoe on the ground amidst all the wood.

The Sonoma County Sheriff's Office investigated the discovery and after consulting with the nearby airport, they solved the mystery. On Monday afternoon, officers reunited Calloway with his leg.

The sheriff's office posted on Facebook about Dion as a "great guy, full of humor who said he lost his first leg in a freak skydiving accident two years ago but that hasn't held him back. He jokingly quipped that this was his second leg lost while skydiving."

Maybe Dion needs some leg insurance for future skydives!
