The outlaws are coming back to Summerfest this year. Milwaukee World Festivals, Inc. announced this morning that the Outlaw Music Festival, starring Willie Nelson, will return to Summerfest this year.
The tour came to Summerfest last year. This year, the show will be on Thursday, June 27th at the American Family Insurance Amphitheater with a bit of a different lineup but still an impressive list of performers from rock, indie rock, alternative, country, and a bunch of sub-genres that criss-cross all of them. Along with the legendary Willie Nelson, they include Phil Lesh & Friends, Alison Krauss, The Revivalists, The Avett Brothers, Dawes, and Trapper Schoepp; a different lineup joins Willie each night.
The 2019 Outlaw Music Festival begins in Bangor, Maine on June 14th, just under two weeks before they come to Milwaukee.
“We had so much fun on the Outlaw Music Festival Tour last year that we couldn’t wait to get back out on the road with everyone,” Willie Nelson said, “The fans told us what they wanted on the Outlaw Music Festival Tour in 2019, and I am thrilled to have delivered this to them."
Tickets go on sale this Friday, March 8 at 10am.
