"Haboob" is a funny word, but it means business. It's a weather phenomenon we don't get here in Wisconsin. The definition of a haboob is a violent and oppressive wind blowing in summer, especially in Sudan, bringing sand from the desert. So is happens a lot near the Sahara Desert in Africa, but the deserts around Arizona see it occasionally, too.
