Today (July 25) is National Hot Fudge Sundae Day. But you can't have the hot fudge sundae without the creation of the ice cream sundae in the first place - and did you know it was invented in Wisconsin?? Yup, the ice cream sundae was first concocted during a hot day in Two Rivers, Wisconsin, back in 1881.
In a recent Discover Wisconsin episode covering Manitowoc and Two Rivers, I got to go to the Johnson House in Two Rivers, where it all began, and build a sundae of my own in their ice cream shop. That part of the video begins right when you click below. Definitely a tasty day!
