One of the fun things to do at Summerfest is to hop on the Skyglider and get a nice view of everything happening from the Briggs & Stratton Big Backyard Stage to the Ethnic Gardens and U.S. Cellular Connection Stage. It's also nice to get a good breeze up there on a hot day!
At $5/one-way or $8 round-trip, it's not something people use more than once or twice in a given day, but Molly Snyder from OnMilwaukee.com decided, on one of the hottest days of the year, to ride the Skyglider round and round over Summerfest for 12 straight hours.
Among other things, she noted "It turns out Skyglider life is just like real life: a mix of the good, the great, the bad, the ugly and, well, thanks to Friday's mean heat, the sweaty." She rode with Mayor Barrett, Bango from the Bucks, and many others.
