It's Tax Day. Might as well get some deals!

Today, April 17th, is Tax Day. The due date to file, and pay if you owe, your federal and state taxes.

If you got a refund, you probably filed earlier - why wouldn't you get your own money back sooner rather than later, right? If you owe, you probably waited until right around today (hey, I did.)

In salute of Tax Day, though, quite a few restaurant chains are offering some deals to help you deal... Office Depot & OfficeMax are getting in on the action, too. Here are the details!

Applebee's: Not necessarily exclusive to Tax Day but welcome anyway, Applebee's has the "dollarita" -- a margarita that costs one dollar -- all month.

Bruegger's Bagels: Bruegger's Bagels brings back its annual Tax Day deal to lighten taxpayers’ load and help carb us all up. Participating bakeries will offer Bruegger’s famous Big Bagel Bundle for just $10.40 with a downloadable coupon from the company's website – a significant $3.50 "deduction" from the standard price.

Chuck E Cheese: Families can enjoy a guaranteed return at Chuck E. Cheese, where today (4/17) through Thursday (419) they can buy any large pizza and get one large cheese pizza free.

Cici's Pizza: Adult buffets for $4.17 (get it? It's April 17th!) with a coupon posted on its Facebook page.

Firehouse Subs: Stop by to receive a free medium sub when they purchase a full price medium or large sub, chips and a drink, today (4/17) through Thursday (4/19). Click here for a link to the offer.

Grimaldi’s Pizzeria: For one day only, on April 17, take a Tax Day Break and get your hands on a Traditional Cheese pizza for only $10.40, which as their release states is a "tasty combination of their secret recipe tomato sauce and hand-sliced mozzarella topped with Grimaldi’s signature cheese and spice blend, all baked to perfection in Grimaldi’s signature coal brick-oven." While supplies last at locations nationwide.

Hardee's: To ease the pain of Tax Day in the U.S., Hardee’s is offering customers a free Sausage Biscuit on April 17, 7-10 a.m., local time, courtesy of its new “Tastes Like America” campaign. But you gotta say the password: "Made from scratch," to redeem.

Noodles & Co.: $4 Off orders of $10 or more through Wednesday. The deal is for online orders only, and customers should use the tax code TAXDAY18/

Potbelly Sandwich Shop: Customers who sign up for Potbelly Perks by downloading the Potbelly app (iPhone/Android) or online will receive a free sandwich (the free sandwich offer ends when 75,000 sandwiches have been given away). Those already enrolled in Potbelly Perks can enjoy a BOGO Sandwich that will automatically load into the app for redemption on Tax Day (April 17).

Schlotzsky’s: Schlotzsky’s is offering a free small original sandwich with the purchase of chips and a medium drink. This offer is only available on Tuesday, April 17. A Medium Original is one of my favorite sandwiches of all time!

And for the non-food, but quite handy offer: Office Depot & OfficeMax are offering free shredding of up to five pounds of paper to help you dispose of your private information. OfficeDepot.com/shredding leads you to the coupon.

Enjoy!
