It's a date: IKEA opens in Oak Creek May 16th

IKEA's first store in Wisconsin - and their 48th in the U.S. - is opening ahead of schedule! The company announced their newest location will open in Oak Creek on May 16th.

To give you an idea of how popular IKEA is (in case you didn't know), they also announced people can start lining up for the opening at 5am.

Currently, the closest IKEAs to us are in Schaumburg and Bolingbrook, Illinois, and Bloomington, Minnesota. Now, we won't have to cross state lines to buy our Skorvas, Teklas, Bjornans, or Arstids - those are all actual names of items for sale at IKEA. And of course, their Swedish meatballs and lingonberries are awesome! Over 10,000 items, 50 room settings to inspire you, and even a supervised children's play area will be in the store - and like you, ABBA songs might go through your head while you're shopping at this Swedish-based retailer.
