Alex Trebek injury puts Jeopardy! on hiatus

"Jeopardy!" is one of the best game shows on TV by far, and has been for a long, long time. So long that host Alex Trebek is freakin' 77 years old - did you even know that??

Unfortunately, Mr. Trebek suffered an injury after a fall in October that resulted in blood clots in his brain, requiring brain surgery a few weeks ago to remove them. I've had blood clots in my leg, heart, and lungs and doctors basically told me they have no idea how I survived that (which came with a side of pulmonary embolism, apparently) so for clots to be in your brain - and make it through surgery for that - floors me.

His prognosis is excellent, however, and we're wishing him well. Here's a video of him with an update, and we look forward to seeing him say "I'm sorry..." to people who don't know the answer in that "Opera" category that hit them during Final Jeopardy.
