Here's a good question for the first day of summer: Is it socially acceptable to wear socks at the BEACH? Not socks and sandals . . . just socks.
A woman in Australia posted a video after her American boyfriend embarrassed her by doing it. She didn't offer an explanation, just a photo. He's shirtless and in a bathing suit, but he's also got ankle socks on.
One potential benefit would be protecting your feet from the hot sand. But is it worth it if you're the WEIRDO at the beach? A few people in the TikTok comments said they do it too. So maybe it's a thing?
