Yes, the cost of practically everything in the U.S. has gone UP!

  • If you don't feel like you're getting as big a bang for your buck as you used to, you're not alone.
  • Consumer prices in March rose an average of 2.6 percent across the board, according to financial experts. While that covers price increases for everyday items like toilet paper and cleaning products, the cost of gasoline is in a league all by itself. According to the Bureau of Labor Statistics, the price of fuel has climbed 22.5 percent over the last 12 months.
  • Not only has the price of gas gone up, but so has the cost of the vehicles powered by it, the bureau reports. Prices for used cars and trucks climbed .5 percent in March, marking their first increase since October, data reveals.
  • In Wiscobnsin, the average cost of a gallon of gas is $2.72. A year ago, it was $1.30
