Wisconsin Teen Invents Lock That Will Protect Classmates from Intruders

Justin Rivard is a High School Senior at Somerset High School and as part of his senior project, he invented a lock that can be used to stop an intruder from accessing the classrooms. It's a type of lock that's also a doorstop that stops an intruder from accessing the room.

He saw that intruders were able to push their way through in-swinging doors during the training on how emergencies are to be handled. ALICE stands for Alert, Lockdown, Inform, Counter, Evacuate, which is done for active shooter response training in schools.
