Offense erupts for Brewers in 18-3 win over Cardinals Tuesday

Tuesday night, the Brewers had 15 hits, 18 runs, and a breakout game for the offense after mustering just seven runs in their previous five games combined.

The Milwaukee Brewers defeated the St. Louis Cardinals 18-3 Tuesday night at Miller Park. Christian Yelich and Dan Vogelbach each had three hits, Vogelbach and Keston Hiura each recorded four RBI, and Brewers pitching struck out 10 while allowing seven hits and three runs in a dominating victory.

Milwaukee put up 19 runs on the Detroit Tigers one week ago, but struggled in games against the Cubs over the weekend and in the doubleheader with the Cardinals Monday.

Speaking of doubleheaders, Milwaukee and St. Louis play in one Wednesday to wrap up a five-game series.
