Brewers allow just two hits in 5-1 win over Padres Monday

Zach Davies and the bullpen gave up just two hits and one run in a 5-1 victory over the San Diego Padres on Monday night at Miller Park. The Milwaukee Brewers have now won three games in a row and 10 of their past 11.

Cory Spangenberg drove in three runs in the win. Spangenberg, Eric Thames, and Ryan Braun each had three hits in the victory.

The Brewers finished the game trailing the Cubs for the final wild card spot, but with the Nationals and Cardinals playing each other Monday night, Milwaukee is guaranteed to make up one game in either the NL Central or the top Wild Card spot.
